    What haven’t I changed?
This is the normal behavior unless you select the "Delete from disk" option when it asks if you're sure you want to delete.

i never delete raw files... you never know when an outtake could come in handy for future use...

after my workflow is done, i back up everything to an external HD, then delete the raw from my computer, and keep just the final edit JPG...

None yet, but its about to get rolling.

Thanks! Also how do you keep things organized. I'm getting to where I need to start finding a way to keep up with my pictures. I only have 3000 pictures I can't imagine having as many as I'll have in a few months.

I need to get a big ass external. i have a 3 Tb HD but between photos and audio..stuff is running out.

Everyone is different..but i make folders for the event i just did.

    like i have a folder for Random-Challenge photos-Week15-.CR2 files

Folders are nice. Use them! haha

if your shooting a ton all the time, could just do by date too.

Look into a Drobo unit. It is expandable depending on the space you need.

I had good luck with the synology NAS units. Set up a four bay at work to back up important stuff. Also the synology comes with software to setup a VPN connection so you can get at your stuff when your traveling or just away from your network. I recommend them. Setup with some caviar blacks its a super nice setup :D

Drobo, Synology, Buffalo. All of them are similar in that you manage them from a web interface. I'm not a fan of Drobo since I had to spend an inordinate amount of time unf'ing one. The Synology boxes are good. You can buy without disks and populate as you like. idk if Buffalo is around anymore?

Anyway, if you are a LR user, you need to remember that your files are stored in a database and moving them isn't as easy as copying them somewhere else. If you do that, you will break the catalog. To me, this is the one big failing of LR. The key is managing multiple catalogs.

I like it. Very subtle. Handheld is hard to do with HDR and you ofter loose some cripness..but it looks good.

Yeah. It's not bad at all. I think you could have gone a little more -/+ without over doing it for an HDR.

I know I need a tripod eventually. But I think most of my HDR have turned out pretty good without being too fuzzy.

What are you using for gear?
