    They should be allowed too... It's once every 4 years it's not like it takes away a huge amount of revenue from the NHL

    I agree.
    His point was players come back banged up, sometimes their season is ended with an injury, it disrupts the flow of their season, and since its the end of the NFL season its hockey turn to be on top.

    Pretty sure it's the guy coming in off the line shift at one end of the bench and the player going on at the other end of the bench. You can do that internationally, but I'm pretty sure it's not allowed in the NHL.

    As long as you're within 10' of the bench and the player coming on isn't involved in the play before the player going off is on the bench I don't think there is an issue

    I'm sure somebody will chime in on this later on. I still think it would have been a dead play in the NHL, but I can't find any source to confirm this.
