Honestly didn't realize it was that negligible. The SCS wheels I want are 19lbs and these are 22. Though when it comes to rotating mass a lb or two does make a huge difference. Because then that's 3 extra lbs on 4 wheels.

 

Just off the top of my head, have you tried assembling the poles correctly and ensuring the tent is tensioned on the poles? Have you tried zipping up the window panels or deploying the rain fly? Maybe throw a tarp over the tent? Or pitch the tent somewhere where water doesn't pool up?

 

Interesting fact.... I would have thought they were much heavier...

 

Toyota OE aluminum wheels are heavy as shit so the steel isn't much different.

10# extra at a wheel = 100# in the bed so if all 4 tires are 10# heavier it's like carrying an additional 400# in the truck. (approximately).

if you compare a steel wheel to that of a light weight alumi9num wheel there will be a larger difference.

Those are pretty accurate... I used to weight myself with my dog (til he got too heavy to carry 115lbs + -) and we then compared it to the one at the vet it was always dead on... it's a 20-30 dollar kmart one

The 10# on wheels is like 100# in the bed because of the kinetic energy being used to move it?

They might still tap into the exhaust. ... last time I did my civic they tapped into the gas and I took my mother's cherokee for her and they tapped into the exhaust. ... Both were done this past summer after the new inspection protocols. ..
