So I found this today...

 

There are a couple of those on the market and that is the cheapest I have seen

 

I like the idea, I just kinda doubt it would work, or last very long

 

So before I shoot in my pants, what is the difficulty of wiring up a 40' LED bar on the front of my truck? I will be ordering the N-FAB light bar and shit, but have never done aftermarket lighting on a vehicle. Is it pretty simple?

And who do you guys recommend for rugged lights? My truck sees offroad a lot, so water proof and shit are a must. And brightness obviously lol.

 

An led bar should just be a simple pos/neg wire. I doubt you would even need a relay for a single light bar, just get a switch that can handle it if the light bar doesn't come with one

Did you guys pay TW member pricing for them? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you guys pay and which model do you have on your truck?

 

Rigid is the Camburg of lighting, at least thats what I'm told. You pay some serious $ for that brand, but is it really worth it? I've seen 50" light bars from other companies for a fraction of the cost. I would love to see the comparison sheet from these companies to see for myself. Which is really the best deal for the $?

 

That's exactly what I wanna know. I don't wanna spend more on lighting than anything else on my truck. I can live without them, just would like it for offroading when I am coming back from trails at night.

Feedback anyone else? Looking to order something by this weekend.

You get what you pay for in lighting. Especially in led bars.

Yeah from what I've heard they are super nice but cost way too much for me. Could get a nice set of new coilovers for the same price as some of those bars.

 

That is very true. I am all for supporting a good reputable company, just not sure I wanna spend X amount of dollars on one single light bar haha.

How does it hold up as far as weather, durability? Issues with hardware or anything? How long have you had it?

Yeah I hear they are made in Gilbert. That's good to know that they protect their product.

So is anyone selling an used one so I don't have to be that guy and bite the bullet on a new one? haha

 

My point exactly haha. I don't even have my truck lifted yet, I wanna make sure the price is right for LED bars.

 

I have had it in since about September and its pretty good its not really exposed since its inside my bumper but i wash my truck every week sometimes twice a week and it doesnt leak or anything the mount is solid that it came with and the quality was good the Tucson guys Andrew and Mike installed it for me and they could tell you if it was quality or not.

 

you also have to consider the instant on/off that leds have

 

I plan to ditch my 20" chinese bar for a rigid when the funds allow, i have rigid d2 duallys and after about 4 years they still look new
