Ugh I hate working in a hot environment. In the Engine room on the Kennedy the lower level temps where about 100-105degrees. The upper level next to the forced draft fans was about 135 Degrees. You have to wear all of your PPE hardhat earmuffs and LONG sleeves! Baby Powder by the bucket load just saying;) Drank about a liter of water and hour when I was helping repair some ducting on the upper level.

Damn that sucks! I was just getting blasted with heated coolant vapor all day. My machine was running a program at 3500 rpm, so it got hot and made the coolant evaporate. Blowing off the tools and the part sends a cascade of humidity towards ya

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I sit on my ass all day long, with temps at 67* winter and 72* summer selling parts. :) Vending machine 15' away, no wonder why I am getting so fat. :D

I work in a lab/research facility. On especially cold days it can be cool on the floor, and my office is either cool or a sauna depending on how the heat is set. On hot days it can be toasty, I've seen mid-high 80's out there, which is fun when you're trying to mount 10' runs of 6"x6" NEMA1 enclosures 14' in the air. The hardest thing is that I have to wear a collared shirt at all times, but even that is pretty mild all things considered.

It's probably my dream job. I went from sitting behind a desk in a cubicle designing a small section of a chemical plant to being given my own enclosure to design, purchase equipment and build the plant. I've learned so much about wiring, basic construction and computer programming since I arrived here. It's basically my dream job, so I've got zero complaints.

The funny thing though is the coolest thing that I just got allowed to do was drive the forklift. I've been bugging them for months to train me to drive it.

In the summer, working in a kitchen it can easily get over 100 degrees easy. The worst one that I can remember was the thermometer in the arm pocket of my chef coat was reading 118 for the majority of the day. That was pretty fun. Although in the winter it isnt too bad.

Easily easy, easier than an easy easiness in an easily easy state of ease, easing into an easier state of easily easy ease.

I feel your pain. Working down in an engine room in the caribbean two months at a time sucks in the summer time. With two 18 cylinder Alco engines humming away at about 800rpm's. The coolest spot in the engine room is about 120. I used to drink almost a gallon of water a day.

Took the truck out tonight it was riding great till it royally fucked me over. Rear half of the drive shaft came apart after the carrier bearing (center support) while that happened it slashed my gas tank which I thought was plastic but they are not, Mangled my exhaust. I tried to wrap stuff around the yoke so i could get off the road but it wasn't working so AAA and $150 later I am home. Happened at 60!!!!

Same here I would rather work on anything in the cold than be soaked in sweat and risk having a heat stroke.
