So just ordered my ICON coil overs and Camburg control arms and want to make sure the American Racing Mojave with Teflon® (Series 3981)Part number 3981-6883 16x8 with 4 1/2 backside will work with this setup.. Was going to go with BFG All terrains 285/75/16 Anyone have this setup? Thanks in advance

They should fit if you don't have TRD sport.

what would a sport have to do w/ the wheels/tires fitting that wouldnt also affect the offroad or prerunner base?

Yea, why would the sport have anything to do with it.. I am replacing the entire shock and spring and changing the UCA. Sounds like from another member who I have been PM'ing that I will need to trim the caliper but i am not too fond of that.

i think that certain 16's would have probs w/ fitting over the caliper. not sure how the backspacing will affect that though

CORRECTION: there is a guy on here w/ 15" mojave's, so the 16's will definately get over the calipers

I had heard from some other posters that the 16" rim will rub on the caliper but only on the TRD sport. May have been some misinformation.

the only suspension differences in the sport and the off road are thicker coils on the offroad and a thicker sway bay on the sport, i believe....besides the locker differences

When I went to order my wheels from tirepackage.com they told me over the phone that steel wheels don't fit Tacomas due to the oversized calipers and 16" wheels don't fit the Sport for some reason. Gonna call my Toyota dealer and see if I can get the technical answer.

Called a few places and they say it wont work. 4 wheel parts said you just pay 25 for the mount and balance and they will throw it on and test fit it. If they hit they will return them for you. When I called to order them they just said no way no how they will work and to just go with the 17's. Think that is what I will do since I am getting the whole coil over set up .

This thread is what shows up when you search for "ATX Mojave Tacoma" so I figured I'd post some relevant data.

I just tried to install ATX Mojave (16" diameter, 8" wide, 4.5" backspace, 108mm hub bore, part number AX39816883) on my 2013 Tacoma TRD off-road and they didn't even come close to clearing the caliper. I'll have to install spacers if I want to use these wheels. Pretty disappointing, they look so damn good. I'm going to give the Discount Tire MB 72 a try.
For the record these wheels weigh 25.3 lbs.
