Anyone have a link to a how-to on installing the front and rear diffs? I'm going to get some help, but I'd like to read up on it before I do.

 

Here's a few things you need:

1. A few hours or better part of a day
2. Lots of patience

And most importantly, plenty of alcohol

 

It's straight forward. I can help depending on when you do it. Still planning on having Jessie help?

Jesse just had a new baby so I'm not going to bother them right now. Colin has volunteered to give me a hand, but we can always make a party out of it. We just need to find time when we're all available. I could probably swing this Sunday.

One of the things I wasn't expecting was bleeding the brakes after the rear install.

 

Just let me know if you need help.

FYI you don't have to unbolt the cv from the hub. Should save a little bit of time.

 

Brake lines get in the way to pull out axle shafts enough to pull the 3rd member

 

The front diff is a bitch, the rear is pretty easy by yourself.

 

I just unbolted the brake lines, I didn't bleed the brakes, the lines flex quite a bit to get the axle shafts out.
