    So I was talking to this old school dude at the gym today and he told me some shit that I've never heard before. He's training for a show (I think it's like 50+ or something) and he's had trouble losing the last few pounds of body fat. He's been eating 3k calories/day and his trainer told him to bump it up to 6k calories/day. He said that his trainer said that when you're eating maintenance, or around maintenance, your body holds on to a little bit of fat for 'just in case' circumstances; his logic behind this was that if you increase your calories so much that you trick your body into getting rid of that last bit of fat by overfeeding and it feeling comfortable getting rid of that last little bit of fat.

    I've never heard of anything about this....... :notsure: I figured the extra calories will have to be stored somewhere....unless he's doing cardio like a madman

    My workout partner showed up yesterday for leg day. He just texted me and said he couldn't bend over b/c his lower back is so sore from deads. Great success. I'm kinda disappointed in myself though...my lower back is sore, too, but my legs are like a 1 on the pain scale. We did deads first, so I'm assuming that took away from being able to go all out on all our other lifts. I love sore legs

    Yeah man... its about lepton levels.... tricking your body is key in losing fat... you can only go so long on a deficit until your body works against you. Reason why there are low, med, high carb days, refeeds, and cheat days (refeed and cheat are two completely different levels).. Also if you DONT increase your calories for a bit you'll risk damaging your metabolism

    Chest and Bi's last night, pushed myself to do the third circuit. So glad I randomly started doing shrugs. Back and tri's today. Looks as though I have lost quite a bit from the last 2 months of fucking off. Gonna hit the first rep with my normal weight and then the other two to three with max low rep focusing on form. See if I can get the muscle memory to kick in.

    Question, what arm workouts can I do to expand my bi's/tri's in width and not height as I think I have hit maximum height as the weight in curling is ever increasing but my bi's are not expanding.
