Installed my Carhartt seat covers by Covercraft.

Overall Im VERY pleased. Fit is immaculate. Tensioners slip underneath front seats to keep them tight, rears have tough elastic. Headrest fit tight, designed perfectly for Tacoma. Rears are awesome. All access to behind and underneath seats is retained, openings for pull tabs, belts and buckles all fit perfectly. "Gravel" color matches grey interior perfectly.

Seats are still comfy, still easy to slide in and out, and best of all... DOG HAIR DOES NOT STICK TO THEM!!

+1 for pockets behind the front seats
+1 for authentic Carhartt material. (i went and put my jacket on, stuff feels like the real deal)
    +1 for snug fitting headrests
    +1 for rear seat setup.
-1 for chemical-y smell. probably will go away soon.

    I'm a fan.

Fronts (I managed to smooth them out a bit after taking this pic, also after sitting in them a while they've formed to the seat better)

Can you confirm airbag compatiblity? If they don't have some provision for the airbags, what happens if the airbag is activated?

Isn't the airbag in the seat?

I hardly call that fit immaculate. While they are functional and serve the purpose, they are no where near the fit of Wet Okoles or some of the other brands out there.

I think it's hard to compare with the neoprene style covers. Totally different types of material. These show more wrinkles than the neoprene ones, but I think they fit perfectly, especially after sitting in them a few times, they've formed to the seats very well.

Another benefit of these is they are more breathable than the neoprene, so the ass sweat factor is a minimum.

But hey, to each their own. I like em.

And I'll have to get back to ya on total cost, they were a gift so I don't know off hand.

    Very true. :D

Looking at your first picture looks like you have the front seats swapped based upon the passenger seat. Appears the cut away for the air bag is on the inside instead of the outside. Curious if driver side is that way? May not matter on your year??

Damn, those look great to me. I went another route, cheaper... I wish I'd bought these now.

I think I might be selling some seat covers!

Yeah I put em on the wrong seats, but my truck doesn't have the seat mounted airbags, so it doesn't matter. They were optional in 08, standard after that.

Sorry guys I asked my wife, who got em for me. She can't remember, she's going to check her cc statement.

I know she had to buy front and rear as separate units, and one was in sale, so she went thru 2 different retailers... Apparently it was quite an ordeal to get the correct ones.

Will reply with exact price as soon as we can dig it up.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Went to the Carharrt site and looked in new products. The buckets are about $200 for the pair. They did not show a front bench like in my regular cab so I'm SOL.

I ordered mine yesterday but the expected ship date is April 17! Seems like they take awhile to get at this point, so they must be getting popular.

www.covercraft.com were $198.00, which is what I used. JC Whitney had them for $185, but I hate them so I paid more.

Well amazingly for once in my life I got something EARLY. Ordered my Carhartt seatcovers last thursday morning with an expected ship date of April 17 and came home today to find them on the front porch, so woohoo. Put them on immediately and they fit and feel just like everything else Carhartt I have….Still can't figure out how they have less material than any arctic coat I have but cost double and have no insulation, zippers or hardware. Could it be that the expensive piece is the Carhartt label?????

you think they will keep wet dog stains off the seats? easy on and off to wash?

    thanks

I wear a Carhartt coat and have alot of work clothes. they are awesome but not for my seats. Save your money and get some Wet Okole's or the like. I put my pennies away and have a full set of Wet Okole's waiting for a nice day to install... Just my two cents...
