I am going to put a 3 inch lift on my 2004 prerunner 2wd. I want to run 33 12.50 20s. Ive talked to a couple shops around where I live and they all say I can't run a 33 12.50 with a negative offset rim. Others have said I can. I want to know what offset and tire size is best for my truck. Any suggestions?

Offset depends on rim width, so I can't help you there. Depending on the truck, a 4" backspace or lower is best. Any way you can get talked out of 20s?

The rims I want are a 20x9 and i really dont want anything smaller than 20s. Im pretty sure the backspace is the same as stock.

Agreed, plus the price of 20" tires are gonna be outrageous! When it's your bag you can put whatever you want in it.

Most of us run metric equivalent to 33×11.5 on a 3" lift and still have to trim plastic and maybe add wheel spacers depending on rim width and backspacing/offset. Trying to go wider with a bigger and wider rim is probably possible but not if Ur afraid to cut plastic, possible cab mount chop and be willing to spend more money to play with it once u get the initial set up on the truck. But u also may find that Ur fucked and have to lift the truck even more. Could go either way. Good luck with it.

If your running stock upper lower ball joints and spacers with that size wheel and tire... you might be in for a surprise when they break. Damage usually pretty severe no matter what speed your going. All good things to consider.
