Statistically the best way to quit is to do it cold turkey with no other help.

The best part is after 3 days (72hrs) all the addictive chemicals are out of your body so people on the patch and chewing gum are tarded IMO, but if they quit good for them. Ive heard stories about people chewing that shitty gum 10 years after quitting smoking.

Yea, but your insurance blows doesn't it? The Philly VA is a total shit hole.

    Nope. I quit. :D

VA, yes. Military active, eh. Depends on who the doctors are on base I guess.

    True

I wouldn't say it blows, for the cost it's decent coverage, especially if you are located within the service boundaries of a hospital on an active service base/installation. My guess is the quality at the Philly VA has a lot to do with location and patient load in that location.

The hospital on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) is an excellent modern joint venture VA/DOD Facility. Haven't had any catastrophic illnesses, but neither my wife nor I have had any major problems or complaints with the routine, acute, and urgent care we've needed for the last 12 years living here in AK; 8 yrs active duty and 4 yrs as retiree on TriCare Prime. Since retirement, i get all my routine care (check-ups etc) from the VA clinic in the MATSU Valley 15 mins from our house and I am very happy with my Doc (same for those 4 years) and quality of care/service. My wife still uses the JBER Facility for everything, and hasn't had any complaints so far.

So, while the system has problems as a whole, the quality of care varies immensely from location to location.

    My 2 cents anyway. FWIW:cool:
