Yeah, basically an alternative to a snorkel, less chance of getting a hydro locked engine in that spot

    Gents,

I know probably a lot of you either have or plan on purchasing a replacement antenna on your Tacoma. The darn thing is so long and sometimes bangs into things if your in the bush, entering your garage, car wash, etc..... Perhaps you have entertained the idea of a cool look in a compact form factor! I just wanted to let you know the AntennaX Euro (13") I purchased from their web site is junk and I don't mean that lightly. From a physical standpoint, it looks solid and has a nice build quality, but that's not the only reason I bought one. I still need good reception regardless! I installed the rubber coated 13" Euro version. Reception went to hell fast! The stations that were clear, immediately went into a crackling static mode. So....in a nut shell I just spent $16, plus shipping for a chance to toss it in the trash.

    https://antennax.com/p-3960-eurostyl...ta-tacoma.aspx

I'm not saying all their stuff is bad! Just this particular one...

    Before you ask:
Yes...it was correctly mounted, checked and double checked
Yes...I did a multiple side by side comparison w/multiple radio stations and the results were the same...shit stations that were clear all became static like I was headed into the desert.

I just don't want you to waste your money as I did! I was the guinea pig, you the benefactor.. I know they make an assortment of other antennas to choose from, so that may not be the case with the other versions/types

    Enough said...

P.S. If someone wants this one...pay me for shipping and it's yours free!

I have a 2012 DCLB SR5 and just installed Michelin LTX LT265/75/16 MS2, Wheeler's 5 pack HD leaf springs, OME 885 Coil springs, Bilstein 5100 with the front set at 1.75, Driver's side spacer.
Completely changed the truck. Now I want to drive instead of wanting to sell it. FYI.

^^^I think the 5100 are only supposed to be used with OME springs when set at 0. I bet it rides rough, huh?

Rides great as I stated. Unsure about being set a 0. Wheeler's Off Road installed the coils and set up the shocks. They were great to work with. I could not be happier!
