I'm gonna need a hookup on F&R ring and pinion installs for my '81 pretty soon. What gear manufacture do you recommend? I was considering Yukon but are there any cheaper competitors that are as good. Nitro?

I guess I was due for a mistype eventually. :p

Looking good, sir! I think you should have went with the loop for it, though. It just seems like something is missing.

Still waiting for a pic of the trailer!

Thanks. Trailer will take some time. I plan to strip it down to the frame and clean/paint everything. Still deciding between matching the Tacoma on color, or Desert Tan cammoflage.

Can do. Yukon gears are pretty good for the price. It is what I bought for my Tacoma (4.56 ratio) You can go cheaper, but they tend to be a little weaker.

Thanks! I have the loop. I just didn't have a cutter for matching the angle of the top plate. Still trying to decide for sure, but yeah, it will eventually go on there.

As for the trailer, I pic it up next week. I will post some pics then.

need a skid plate. I just realized it too! I have the ARB splash plate but right beneath that is just bare IFS. Debating on making my own custom one or buying one. Anybody have any good options or opinions on one?

With your drop kit, it will most likely have to be custom.

I don't think I have ever seen a skid plate with a DB lift. Even on the Chevys and fords. It's about 7:30 and I'm waiting on the slow poke brother, gonna stop by the shop and grab my cooler, then I'll be headed that way.

I have seen one, and it looked terrible because of the drop bracket.

I'll probably just go through you for it all.

Do I need to call for a quote or can you PM me a one for 2 sets of Yukon 4.88s for Toyota 8" 4cyl differentials plus the install. I will bring you my 3rds so all you'll have to do it the R&P, bearing, seals, etc. I'll be putting it back in the truck reinstalling axles, driveshaft, etc.

I don't have many pictures, but I do have this one. It's the dirtiest my truck has ever been and has greatly impressed me today. I do hope someone got a video of me going through a hole I didn't think I would get out of.
