Slowly trying to install allpro springs. I broke the fwd leaf bolt. I got a variety of grade 8 9/16" bolts.

    They are 9/16" right lol?

Can i beef up the allpro pack at all by using oem pieces?

    Thanks!

how do you know that?? you haven't even put them on...lol

    just wait..and install them...

they aren't 9/16s, as they are metric bolts OEM..but i bet they will be fine.

I highly doubt the way allpro leafs are made you'd be able to add leafs.

But your jumping ot the gun way to soon..lol you have no idea what they are gonna do yet.

My metric toyota bolts are in multiple pieces lol. Im REALLY hoping the 9/16 bolts will work (got lots of different lengths).

From what i gathered online the toyotas are 14mm aka 9/16".

    Hope they work :)

Installed some daystar 1.25" lift shackles. It gave me a decent rake now until I crank up the Kings. Just waiting for the spanner wrench. Also welded up my exhaust. 2.5" pipe with an aero turbine 2525xl. Not as loud as I envisioned, but it has a great sounding low tone. It will sound louder with headers and a cat removed though.

The aero turbine has zero rasp so I like it a lot, even if it isn't very loud. The jba catback I had was louder, but had a noticeable tinny sound and raspy at the tip. But like you said, it will be louder so no worries there. Race trucks make race truck noises or something.

First time posting on TW! Well, today I decided to wash my truck since the weather in Eastern Wa is holding off on the snow. I had driven 750mi on salty, snowy, icy and occasionally wet I-90 over the past weeks so it was overdue for a cleaning. I am :jellydance: over all of the users with plate bumpers, might just have to buy one for my stock beauty (turning weekend warrior). I have a neighbor that built (welded) an aluminum plate bumper for his 4WD E-350 van (custom job he did himself), maybe if I ask real nicely....

Anyway, thoughts on what my truck needs? (she's a blank canvas waiting to be painted)

I had the exact same problem when installing my ome leafs about a week ago. Let's just say it was a pita I've basically installed/uninstalled the leafs about 3x times. Anyways personally id use the 9/16 bolts temporarily and go get toyota oem bolts ASAP. They cost me 20$ From the stealership For the 2x front leaf bolts and 2x nuts(reused washers..). It's crazy that you twisted that bolt head off though when I was doing mine I cracked a 1/2" drive 19mm socket in half.

That is just plain bad ass. I can't ever get over how good that paint looks! Now with the plate bumper it's just

    Stuff
I have the AP standard leaf packs. They will give around 3.5-4" of lift unloaded. That being said, that are made to flex not carry constant load. They will settle a little, but shouldn't sag unless you are carrying constant loads in the bed. Says so right on AP's website. If you carry loads constantly you should have got the expos. If not, or only occasional loads the standards are fine.

I've had heavy stuff in the bed temporarily and they are still fine. The only thing is have all the time in my bed is the spare and a tool box with about 50-60lbs of stuff in it.

How do you think the AllPro Standard duty leafs would handle about
200-300 lbs of constant weight? Ive read that 400-500lbs is ideal for expos but what about 200-300lbs for the standard leafs? think that'll be too much of a constant weight for them to handle?

I have dakars and going with a hard top very soon. I already carry 100-150lbs in the bed constantly, so the topper would add another 200 pounds approximate. Im debating if I should get the d6xl for the dakars (which have done me well) or get the AP standard/ expo leafs
