The pt model 105 is a sweet bender, you get screwed by the dies ehich are 200ish each.

Brent/Randy let me know what you all want to do. If you're wanting to build instead of buy I'll hold off, but if not I'll go ahead and get the pro tools bender next week.

Question. .. my drivers side cv shaft moves up and down. ..a fairly good amount. Do you all think it's the shaft or is there something in the did that may be the cause.

 

I'm going to try to answer my own question this time. I'm thinking is the needle bearing in the diff. I can't see the cv shaft wearing out on the diff side. No torn boots or anything like that but I do have a loud pop on the drivers side when it rains.

Not any major vibes but it moves up and down a good 3/8 of an inch. Give or take.

 

Grinding day is here. If I can get these wires crimped this weekend, I may knock out wiring too.

 

You can bring it over here and use my vice....that is what I used.

 

So my work just built us a new maintenance shop and all the new equipment showed up this morning. ..Baleigh metal brake, Baleigh metal shear, Baleigh iron worker, Dake vertical bandsaw, some miller mig welders and 2 miller tig welders and a tubing bender ..can you say custom fab shop at work??

 

When's the next big mod day? I need to drive over and get some pointers on welding these headlight hoops.

Today would have been a good day. But if you want a "Brent" style mod day, wait till its 33* with 20ish* wind chill and raining/snowing sideways....

 

There's justin...MY68UR8TRD...He works for general tire but is very good with toyota engines...He has the lifted 2nd gen with the supercharger and 33 general grabbers

 

I think thats him. I remember him offering some shop space and help to do complex installs/maintenance. I want to do my belts and if his offer still stands, I would do all the work. Just need some pulley tools and a brain to pick when I get stuck.

 

My job dont even have them name brand tools and we build power transformers
