This thing is insane! One of the main reasons I've never been interested in a beefy front bumper is the weight. Would rather not kill my MPGs, acceleration, braking, and handling just to have a badass bumper.

Now I won't have to!!! Stellar work fellas!

Would this work with the airbag sensors and do you have any data/photos from any crash testing? Interested.

The thing that kills MPG is mainly bigger wheels (and driving style of course). One of the reasons too we get such different numbers from people on this board is because people don't know how to measure MPG and people do it differently. Plus bigger tires change the actual number of miles traveled vs. odometer reading. Weight on a vehicle greatly effects city stop and go MPG but not as much for HWY driving. If you do a lot of city driving you'll see a lot more benefits to going to lighter armor.

Either way, this option for a 50 AL bumper is def awesome. If you rock climb a lot and bang up your bumper, probably better to go with steel. If you do a lot of daily driving and occasionally hit the trails this may be for you. The main thing to be concerned about isn't necessarily how it stands up in a front end crash but rather that AL will gouge more easily and be harder to repair.

I would have liked All Pro to have made this bumper in the separate pieces like they did for the steel non APEX. That way you can replace gouged up or dented pieces separately at a lower cost. 1500 for a bumper is $$$. Hopefully price goes down in future.

All Pro ----You need to do a Hy-bred combo half alum half steel for strength, alum upper and shell and steal lower valance as its the part that takes most of the off-road abuse .

Anyone, know the weight differential between the front OME bumper assembly.. plastic and steel, and the allpro aluminum front bumper? Allpro aluminum front bumper weighs 50 LBs. Anyone,...anyone?

I just took it apart recently and I would say no more than 20 lbs for stock.

30 lbs extra to the front is minimal. The steel bumpers are about 130-150 lbs. This is a good amount of weight savings. I would say if you went with this and no winch you can NOT have to upgrade to 700 lb springs.

Pretty awesome product for a lot of people (if you got the $$$).

I have got to have this!!!! Looks awesome and it would replace the OEM on my sons truck perfectly bud I would have to find somewhere for the RI 30" E-series. Really the whole thing is just 50 lbs. how does it match up to steel in comparison on strength, weight cost, and how much shipped across country to Ohio? Do you offer Powder Coating? Sorry but I am serious about this with the A bar that would support the RI Grill with their 20" SR. Anyone need a month old bull bar?
