Sorry to hear that. I'm sure once you tell you how much fun you had, assuming you do, she might want to join you.

Look around the forums we have a few people here in jax who are always looking to wheel also. have you checked out the florida meet section? We have a weekend trip planned for ocala the 15th and 16th of aug if your interested. If not im sure we could take the trucks out this weekend and play around.

If the "dunes" works out you could do that with us? I just want to go with somebody else cuz I had to hold back alittle for fear of getting stuck.

Yea I would so be up to meeting up with you guys to see what I can (and the truck can do) - Any pre-off roading tips would be appreciated obviously. Not sure I can get together either of the next 2 weekends, but we'll def. have to get together soon so I can actually meet some of you in person.

Not sure about the "dunes" as I had a friend out there actually get a ticket for trespassing unless he was somewhere other than where you guys described.

Yea and def. need someone else out there with me as I haven't been able to afford my winch setup yet.

As for pics, I had a few and lost them all when my hdd starting smoking in my old PC. I am hoping to start my de-badging / de-TRD vinyling this weekend so maybe I can take a few before pics and then after pics with the Black badges and new TRD vinyl (though I will be the first to admit I am alittle hesitant to do these mods as I have never done something like it before)

the ones by the dames point bridge. They are not on the beach. When I went there were no signs except on the outskirts of the site where it touched other peoples property.

Have you seen anybody getting a ticket there. I don't want to get one but it's soo much fun and there aren't any no trespassing signs that I saw.

I might be able to meet you all out there, not sure I dare to take my truck out in the super soft stuff though.... (at least not till I get alittle more comfortable offroading and learning what I have to do to not detroy her)

If you get stuck you won't hurt anything as far as I know and also that's part of the reason I want to go with others so we have a way of getting unstuck.

I've been stuck in mud once and all I did, cuz it sunk kinda deep, was break a pin or whatever on the mudflap. but I think the first gens have rubber ones that bend better so you don't have to worry about that.

Fuzzyman, if you're wanting the Sockmonkey decals, you might want to wait on taking the factory TRD vinyl off so you can tape it off and get it in the right spot. I waited and taped mine of, and it works really well. Just my .02 dude...

Oh, and if you need help with that or the badging, let me know and I'll try to assist you!

    Squirrel -

I wouldn't mind help at all dude since I have never done it before. I never thought about taping it off before... hmmmm. I have the decals (custon GB TRD ones plus the Large TRD to go on the windshield) just have never gotten around to putting them on the truck yet. But seriously, if you or someone else is willing to give a newbie a hand, I would gladly take it. I was just under the impression that the whole process was better off done over a day or 2 (as once you take off the badges, you have to clean them, clean where they went paint them over and over and over and over and over (i think that's enough coats)).

I am not too proud to take and use advice from others especially when it's something I have never done before.

The badges kinda sucked for me (and my fingers) but I was using some pretty thick fishing line. As for the decals, I did the bedside and hood scoop ones in about an hour or two, but I haven't ventured into the windshield decal too much. If you're going to be at Hooters Saturday, I'm sure a few people can give advice (assuming I will make it...if my family quits getting injured).
