I'm looking into buying a new Tacoma and becoming a real member of this forum, but I'm just wondering what are some of the differences between these two model options. I am also planning in lifting it so difference is suspension doesn't matter too much right? I also want to know some of the off roading options ill loose such as the locking diff etc. I've already found a SR5 that is available to me right now, so I'm leaning in that direction already cause my car just doesn't have what it takes to get me out hunting and fishing as much I like.

Welcome and the sr5 is basically the middle model but I would recommend the TRD since it comes with upgraded seats, suspension, and a power point the back. But the off road comes with off road goodies like a locker atrac, downhill assist control. The sport comes with a hood scoop and color keyed parts and is available in either a 5 foot bed or a six foot bed. So depending on what you want I'd recommend you look at both and test drive them.

OP is in Canada so his options for a TRD will be Sport or Offroad Access Cab , or Sport DCSB in manual or DCLB in auto

Now that I see my owed amount dropping so much I wish I spent the extra little bit on the TRD just for the stuff I want to put on my truck now. I don't need the E locker or anything. But now I want the lift, the scoop, and the color matched grill and signal mirrors.
