I get the personal identifying marks for theft purposes but what if I was driving to the range or going hunting and got pulled over for whatever reason and they ran the #'s to see if they were stolen and they came back with nothing? What does registry not withstanding mean, not required?

He just meant whether or not the registry is important, he would still serialize his guns so he could identify them if stolen.

Pretty sure there is no gun registry in Texas. I think your friend is mistaken.

RA is just right down the road from me so I try to give them as much of my business as I can. My only factory stick is one of their ruc's.

I couldn't justify buying cool overs. But I justified buying a nice optics for the same price...

my dust cover was a pain in the A$$, my gas block was easy, I had someone telling me what to do though (I changed the dust cover out later). I got a great hint for getting the gas block on my barrel, we soaked the barrel in rem oil first and it made life easy

I put my barrel outside in freezing temps, and put the gas block on the top of a wood stove. It worked, but it was an everloving bitch.

I've never had these problems lol, the dust cover was fairly easy and my gas blocks always slide right on.

the spring was my problem, I shot it across the room, and I installed the dust cover numerous times in which the spring wouldn't open the cover
