Will it be a safe combo? How about tread wear? Thanks

tread wear depends on how you drive and what kind of tire. whether you spin them or not, hard cornering wears tires. not rotating, things like that. and im not completely sure on the second gen trucks whether you can go down to a 15 inch wheel.. but i had 15x12's on my 98 and it was fine.

Well more importantly, is it a safe combination?

i'd go with a 15x8 so you dont have to worry about poping a beed if you do any off roading. 11.5 is a little skinny for a 10 inch rim in my book. i have 33x13.50 tires and i have a 15x8 inch rim

it was some old biased gumbo mudder ha ha it was supposed to go on a 15 inch wide wheel but i put them on 12's i took it off after i slung rocks into both my side mirrors and busted them out.. and it should be safe as long as you dont bash on it and treat it like a baha truck or anything.. but it will make things wear out faster.. its alot more tire than stock.

depending on the back spacing and offset you may have some rubbing with that wide of a rim and tire combination.. but you may make it away in the clear.. my 15's rubbed like hell. i ended up just taking them off and selling them. easiest way to find out if they work ok is to put them on and drive it.

i've got the 3.5 inch fabtech lift. it has the two inch coil overs and then i have a two inch body, the back is lifted about an inch and a half higher than the front also so i have about 6 in the front and like 7 or so in the rear. and no i havn't had any problems really. i was changing my axel boots every year because they had a pretty sharp angle but i bought a differential drop kit and havn't had to change them since and its been over a year. but over all i really like the lift. i have the 33x13.50 toyo mt's and i hate them. dont ever buy those tires. they look cool but they are heave as hell and shake like a mo fo
