Mark, have you been drinking again? :p The collectors on the URD headers are 2.5" I'm guessing? I feel that the loss down low will be negligible due to the fact that a lot of that issue is already resolved with a S/C... However, an equal length smooth bend Y pipe will take some of that natural restriction out of that section. Hmm... Kinda depends on where you want the powerband. I personally would go the way Moose has already mentioned (with the recommendations from his shop). That being said I am not an expert.

Nope. The collectors are 2.25". The URD Y-pipe is 2.25" O.D. as well.

Even with the fact that , "a lot of the issue has been resolved with a S/C," it will still be a big anx noticeable loss. The velocity of the exhaust, from header to 2.5" reduces the scavenging and decreases tq. Happened on XrunnIT's, as he was one of the first to do that tubing size for the Y-pipe. He was running 10 - 11 psi as well. Dyno #'s were lower than expected. Then Compared with turbo setups which had the same 2.5" Y-pipe, their TQ # were low as well. Especially compared to mine, of a similar setup. Thus it became clear.

Besides, each leash of a 2.25" Y, if you add the area of each, is nearly the same area as one 3" tubing. So as flow is concerned, that is a better mathematical transition, than the 2.5" Y.

A dual 2.25" into 3" outlet merge, V-band flange , and 3" braided stainless steel coupling for catback. Done.

Yes, I can admit that when shit hits the fan he is the guy I call first. I am getting pretty good at knowing my stuff, but every once in a while he will come along and blow my world up. I think he purposely withholds information so that I can never know everything...
