1st gen Tacoma, 3rd gen 4runner replacement front skid plate $200

Here's what they look like freshly packaged. Sold another one of the extras.

 

Mine looked about that good when it arrived *shrug*. It is a skid after all looks so beefy. Can't wait to mount them up. First coat of primer, done.

Edit: this is by far the worst spray paint job I've done. Ever. Haha, good thing it is going under the truck

Ya, I think I might try VHT roll bar paint when I do my sliders next month and hit the skid too.

 

Isn't VHT high temp paint? All high temp paint looks like that in my experience, except maybe caliper paint. It doesn't gloss like regular gloss paint.

 

Let's work backwards on this, what would you recommend? Btw I used the same paint on my wheels and it worked fab!! Go figure... It's duplicolor flat black.

 

Since you already have paint on it just get some of this and spray the bottom quick if you want it glossy. If it's supposed to be flat, it's correct.

My base coat looked like that then I did a top coat of dupli-color pearl black I believe and it turned out pretty good

 

I went with the flat black camo paint from rustolium and a flat desert tan for the letters. But I like the flat vs gloss. Came out really well

 

Thanks all, I think a semi or gloss will be best for me dunno why my wheels look so much better with the same spray but... Whatevs.

 

Ryan, are you not making these anymore? I was looking at finally ordering mine, but noticed the price is XXXed out and it says "Closed" on the opening post.

I have a pic request. I seem to have lost a picture I'm looking for so if someone could provide one that would be great....

What I need is looking up at the lower control arm bolts from below. A potential customer asked me how much coverage they have and I can't find the picture. Anyone have a camera handy?
