I have basically hardly or never been above 2000 rpms. Maybe I need to floor it. There has to be an explanation for the huge variables, and mine must be better than that.

The drivers are more variable than the trucks.

The dude getting the high mileage is driving a 5 lug, 4 cylinder, low to the ground, manual transmission with small tires.

I average 20.6 MPG all City.
    2012 Pre-Runner 2.7 Liter Automatic.

Here's the entire history. See first tank baby blue July/Aug 2005.

But why are you even posting on this thread, you already said you don't care and don't bother to check. About like me shitting on a lift thread because I don't need a lift.

I wouldn't use your numbers as a benchmark. I believe that you are a dedicated hyper miler, meaning that your driving style is devoted to using as little fuel as possible. I would hate to be in a hurry with you behind the wheel, but I applaud you for your efforts. I enjoy driving spiritedly (occasionally) too much to drive like that.

    +1

But for something more realistic, feel free to use my numbers.
Stock 2008 2.7 5-lug regular cab with about 300 pounds of shit in the bed and a hard shell.
Morning commute is typically 60-75mph, Ultragauge generally averages high-24s to low-26s for that segment.
Evening commute is heavy traffic, 10-40mph, Ultragauge generally averages high-20s to low-23s for that segment.

    http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rich91710/tacoma/fuelchart

95% of that is gassing up at the same pump, same time of day.
Let it click off, give it a gentle squeeze to click off once more, and done.

As stated a few times already, I'm not using any engine off techniques or hypermiling while I'm cruising at 60 and getting 30-36 mpg. I'd say rule me out because I'm at 5300 ft as it is significant but maybe 4 mpg max.

What would you get driving all 60 mph mornings Rich? Don't give me any "I'd get driven off the road" BS either. :p

    I would.

    Literally impossible to maintain 60.
If I move to the slow lanes, I would be constantly on and off the throttle dodging merging traffic and a combination of semis running anywhere from 55 to 70.
If I move to the left 2 lanes, I would be getting constantly high-beamed and cut off by the morons.
65-70 on the GPS is the sweet spot where I'm not pissing people off.

Best reading I've had on the UG upon arrival at work has been around 27.5. Sadly, seriously screwed up traffic on the way home that Thursday resulted in the tank average being among my worst.

FUELLY.com shows I`m getting 19.1 mpg on latest fill up. That`s a +0.3 improvement.:headbang:.........am hoping it will improve more.
