HIT IT HARD! get plenty of momentum and dont let off the gas until you are on the otherside. The second you feel the rear end start digging or dropping, throw it in reverse and try rocking the truck foward to reverse.

theres no trick to it, it's just a simple trick... stay out of the mud if you only have 2WD.
Or if you insist on 'mudding' keep your speed up, dont go too deep, don't stop in the mud!!! keep half the truck on more solid ground and stay out of the big ruts, turn your tires a little if you feel it slipping/sinking..kinda wiggle the truck thru it. I got a peg-leg diff still so I avoid the mud unless I can go fast thru it. and bring trash bags to cover your feet when you have to get out and attach a tow rope lol good luck

Hey just a quick question. If you do get stuck, how effective is it to use wooden boards to place under the tires to try to get unstuck? And does it help to dig out the tires with a shovel?

Debadged, decals removed ARE V series Camper Shell, RallyArmor mud flaps I’m old, my truck is boring
i run a 2WD with about 32" STREET TIRES!! i am a logger and occasionally have to take my truck in the woods instead of using the work trucks. Keeping momentum is key but tire placement with keep you moving. Avoid dropping into old ruts if you can. I ran my truck at full tire pressure thru 2ft deep mud, soft sand, silt beds, and lots of Georgia clay... dont be afraid to try. BTW, a "snap strap" is an amazing investment.... streches 10% and pulls you out like a rubberband (requires additional vehicle)
