Oh I know! Cody has a custom hoop and not the trail gear one so he can fit that 30" led bar in there which is what I would probably do too. Or I could just go with a 20" and get trail gears hoop.

The more I look the cleaner the low pro looks, but I have to have a light bar.

Why do you have to have a light bar? I ran the TG lightbar on mine for a while but removed it when I switch out my lights for the HIDs I'm running now.

Just a personal preference. I like the way they look, especially since they follow the lines of the 01-04 front end which I plan to convert to. Keeps everything looking neat and clean while adding a bit of flare. This is still in the planning stages as well. The bank said no large purchases till the loan gets approved for my house so all mods are on hold.

ok so i replied in the flexy thread but this seems more applicable. silas said he didnt think my current shackles would work with the chevies because they were wider than taco ones, but it looks like you are using your factory shackles with the chevy leafs.

Yeah I reused mine with zero issues. I was worried about the bolt size not matching up because I had read that the size in the lower part of the stock shackle was different than the chevy spring takes (I'm sorry I can't remember specific numbers, it's been a while. I think the toyota shackle bolt is 18mm and the chevy takes a 9/16 though). I test fit them and there was no play, fit perfect so I went with it. I'm going to do the creeper joint rear hangers and shackles in a month or so when I get into my new house. When are you trying to do the swap?

Brought this quote over here from the flex thread. And it does but that's why you move the front spring hangers forward. You really have the freedom to put the axle in whatever location you want in the wheel well. Most swaps move the hangers 7.5" forward but when I tacked mine in there the wheel seemed way too far back and was going to eat the bedside with the slightest amount of uptravel. So I moved them 8.5" forward of stock and it was dead center in the wheel well.

good to know. i mean i understand they are longer, which is why you move the front hangers, but (now this is hard to explain without drawing a picture) i guess i thought the center pin would have been further from the rear shackle as well since its a longer leaf. but the center pin must be about the same distance from the rear shackle as on the toyota leafs if you can only move the front hanger and still have it line up right.

And im glad i can use my current shackles, i have some nice 1.25" lift ones I would hate to get rid of.

Im not sure exactly when im going to start working on it, clearing for 35s happens the 2nd weekend in march, so between now and then I will start collecting parts and think about doing the swap after. Im triangulating 12" 5125s as well, like you did. I also was reading and saw supra saying if you take off the over load you could get another 2" of down travel, if you can get 2" just by taking out the overload ill probably do that and just bump it.

Another thought I had, at full droop does the drive shaft separate (slide out) enough to cause problems or snapping under torque?

No updates on the truck but my dad bought another bike and I'm really jealous. Gsxr's are my favorite style out right now. 06 GSXR 750 with 15k miles

    :tumbleweed: Nobody likes bikes?

Well I washed my truck for the first time since October haha. It's weird seeing a clean truck.

Can see where my truck was repainted in this one..

Trying to move closing on my house up to March 31. Once that's done I can work on the truck some more! Also, I just found out I get a raise soon so that will help a lot.

    Upcoming additions:
    • Trail Gear front bumper
    • 35x12.50x15 MTR's and a set of 37x12.50x15 Iroks on steelies to mess around with
    • Sliders w/ kickout (more than likely will be from SOS)
    • Assembled 3rds with 4.88's and ARB's from a TW member (if the overtime is there)

Working man! 53 hours last week and probably more this upcoming one. I've been lurking a little but for the most part I get off, chill for an hour, go to bed, then do it all again.
