With the popularity of the 1st Gen trucks and the HIGH resale prices they still command do you think in the future they will be seen as a desirable classic bodystyle in the way that a mid60's Chevy P/U was held in high regard for so many years?
In other words do you see our grandkids jumping at the chance to buy/restore a 90's to 04 Taco some day in the future or do you think they will end up in the Junk Category where all the S10's of that era already reside?

    Thoughts?

I think they will be, just like people jump at the chance for early toyota pickups and the sort

Throw in the frame rust buyback/crushing component and I think the rarity increases.

Some of this Some of that
IMO yes! They're very desirable. Pretty sure they'll be just like 90's/80's Toyotas; sought after and expensive

X2, along with rarity/unavailability of new/used parts. By Toyota's own estimate they will be CRUSHING HALF OF THE ENTIRE PRODUCTION RUN of 95-00 Tacomas. That's good in some respects, bad in others.
