I'm just short of 1000 miles on my Tacoma on the last tank. I averaged 19.7 with 87 with ethanol fuel. Thought I would try 93 no ethanol an see if it gets any better. What are your results?

I wish! They filled it up when I left the Dealer. I forgot the mileage after I got home. I filled it up an created a Fuelly account.

I have wanted to test this for years but the closest ethanol free station is about an hour away.

I have put 91 no ethanol in a few times. have got 20 to 40 miles extra to a tank. once they stop using winter mix, i’ll do a few runs an really see what my MPG is with 87 ethanol/ 93/91 with ethanol and 91 no ethanol. All the wiggles around here have 91 with no ethanol.

No ethanol will increase MPGs but do not think you will see gains with higher octane. I ran a tank of 93 with ethanol and saw no gains.

I did a highway tank of 90 octane ethanol free that I run in my boat, I got the same mpgs as every other time I've done the trip with normal gas.

I run 87 octane and it works fine for me but I may try ethanol free gas one tank to see if there is any improvement.

    +1

You will gain 4-7% with E0, but if you can get E0 87 that's your best choice.

    I get a 10 to 15 percent increase in MPG with non-ethanol.

It will take more than one tank for the truck to re-calibrate itself for non ethanol. Mine usually takes three tanks.

I ran for about a year on only premium 10% ethanol from Costco.

For the last 3 months I have run only premium 0% ethanol. At about 6 months I'm going to see if fuelly tells me there is a sizable difference.

I get about 10% better mileage with 90 octane 0% ethanol. 87 octane contains 10% ethanol. Coincidence? Hmmm :notsure:

I live in CA. As far as I know... ethanol is in ALL the gas here. Very rare to find a place that has gas without it.
