I see an oil pan on right so I'm presuming you're going to be rotating your muffler bearing oil.

    Oil pan removal mod obviously.

Did a little work to the first post. Hope to add more parts to the list soon.

Those are going to be some heavy tires. What's the weight on those? 70-80lbs?

That's what I thought. Any thoughts regarding that heavy of a tire on the drive train and busting things?

That isnt that heavy really. The drive train pushes a whole truck, it is designed to haul a pay load....why would a little extra tire weight break things?

Also compared to the 35" a lot of us already run....NMD

    Very good points, Ryan.

The larger diameter tire will cause more stress on twisting the cvs and such. However I have an idea on how to control the speed of the truck when I'm on the trails. I've run the 35s pretty hard. And they has held up really well. I will drive careful as I always do, and carry extra CVs. Might carry an extra rear axle shaft to be safe.

\/ True, but it's not designed to run a tire that's 2x as heavy at extreme CV angles as much as Jamie does. :p

More so if there was anything you were going to do in regards to strengthening parts. I've only seen one IFS run 37's. Everyone else has been a SAR. I've just been doing some reading on AM axle replacements. Didn't know if you were considering that as well with the build.

Its not really about weight as much as leverage. Say you have a small hand wheel on a wooden rod, and you try to break it by turning the wheel. If the wheel is small, it'll be hard to break. The bigger the hand wheel, the easier it is to break the rod by twisting it.

I don't think Jamie will be using wooden axles tho :p

No wood, it rots. Plastic is way more durable.
