I purchased my first Toyota this past week, A 2009 Toyota Tacoma V-6 access Cab 4x4. I purchased it under the "Clunker" bill, I got rid of an old Chev that ran pretty good but was rusted out bad, It was a good deal for me asI didn't drive the Chev very much but it came in handy when this bill passed. I found this forum when I wanted to find out some things about my new truck and what a find!!!!!!!!! some great information here, some very intelligent people,, I am going to try and read as much as I can!!! I hope I can give back a little, I am not the greatest mechanic around but I do know a little, Thanks for letting me in. D

Ya, I hear ya,, and I don't disagree, But the government spends a lot of money on things I don't agree with. And it is really not as good a deal as one would think (at least for me), my old truck probably had a street value of 1/1.5k, I received 3.5k under the clunker bill so, 2k was my incentive, I still payed out over 24k for the truck, and a nice piece of that went for taxes, that the govment can spend on things I maybe don't agree with. Although I do not disagree with you, I always find it humorous when someone takes credit for "Paying for it" were all (taxpayers) paying for it. D
