Yeah the 7th is coming up next, but I need to recoup some funds and tires will be next. I'm curious to see how much difference it makes on my trip to work since we have a steep hill that always dropped me down to 55-60 mph if I didn't really give it gas.

I'm thinking I'm going to take this tailgate trim piece outback and blow it to bits with the 45.

Haha, you know nothing about those...unfortunately I already want more power. Time to start saving.

Oh gosh, a supercharged V8 would be amazing.

I bet BFAD, I really want to get a V8 double cab 1st gen Tundra and supercharge it. That would be the ideal vehicle for me. Enough room for the family and more than enough power to tow a 1st gen 4runner wheeler. Eventually I will have that set up.

Turns out my bike rack isn't off-road approved. I was doing 45 mph in a wash with 4 bikes on a bike rack in my hitch and about 2 miles after setting off I noticed all the bikes were gone.

One had been dragged behind my 4Runner for about a mile by a bungie-cord. It had a bent rim and broken brakes. The other 3 were about a mile and a half back, one was fine, one was had 2 broken rims, a broken handle bar, and sliced brakes and the last one just had a bent rim.

Pretty hilarious, laughed for a solid 5 minutes.

Come buy this one... on the local ABQ craigslist. I've seriously considered it, but it's 2wd.

Dang. Did the welds break on the rack?

That reminds me of this guy I saw the other day on I-25. I was headed home after work and he goes flying by me in a WRX with a roof mounted bike carrier. A few miles down the road I catch up to him and the bike is flopping around on his roof, barely hanging on. I backed off and moved over a couple lanes, then watched him slowly come to realize that the banging on his roof was a loose bike and desperately start trying to get off at the next exit. It could have been bad for him, or rather the car behind him, if that bike came off on the freeway.

Dang that's cheap. If it was 4x4 then it would be perfect, but no way I would ever buy a 2wd. I need the 4wd for my families cabin during the winter.

No idea. You can kind of see it here.

Ok so what happened it there is a little pin that you can pull out and it allows the rack to bend over so you can open the rear hatch. That pin jiggled out causing the bike rack to fall over.

Here's one of the bikes handlebars:

Back when I bmxed, I had a thule back rack on the roof. Thing was indestructible. I know it can't carry four bikes on one rack but food for thought.

Home renovations suck. All I'm trying to do is take a quick nap but instead there are 10 guys in my house ripping out cabinets and tearing down walls.
