I like a few new members bought my Tacoma under the CARS program tonight. The 2.7L engine was a qualifier so that is what I have. Believe me when I say that all of the 2.7L RWD Tacoma’s are gone all across the USA.

I am sure I will have a lot of questions as the MOD Bug is alive and well with me. I first need to prioritize my mod list.

I will be on vacation starting tomorrow and will have little or no access to the internet. I will answer all questions when I return.

I am not new to car forums and this forum seems to be nice and family orientated.

    Thanks for the warm welcome.

The 2WD 2.7L was the onlyTacoma that I could qualify for under the CARS program. In all at 18MPG there were only 3 trucks that qualified. The base Colorado, it did not have any git up and go, the base Ranger, when you added the access door option it moves you up to a larger engine and that did not qualify and the Tacoma. I feel that the Tacoma was just a better all around truck. I wish it had the SR5 package but it does not.

This is my new daily beater for work and going to the garden center. For trips we take the 04 Bonneville. Going to Michigan tomorrow. :D

Agreed with your points. When I was shopping for a truck a couple weeks ago (had a CARS trade-in) the other two trucks (Colo and Ranger) just don't compare when you're looking at the 4 cylinder models. Toyota gives you quite a bit more for your money.

Plus from my research and from talking with family and friends the Tacoma is built like a brick out house with an engine that will last a long time.

I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome.

One of the first things that I will do when I come home from vacation is do a full detail. I will do a write up and place it in the proper section. I am a detail perfectionest and the Black Sand Pearl will really POP. Hopefully I will have some questions after that post.

I already ordered wind deflectors for the windows licenses plate covers. I need to do research on bug deflectors for the hood.
