Aries Bull Bar & Approach Angle

I've been debating wether or not to get the bull bar. Was wondering if anyone knew how much it took away from your approach angle.
It's between the bull bar and making a custom grill.

If your worried about your approach angle you must be an avid off-roader: but then why would you want a bull bar?

If you want your front end to implode in a fender bender get a bull bar. Totaly worthless!

 

i dont know.....my bull bar looks good, but then again....i dont hardcore offroad.

if you are gonna offroad heavily,all the time.......get a full brush guard. other than looks,and a good place to mount lights.....the bull bar is for looks. here is my aries......................

 

I wondered what the purpose of a bull-bar was, couldn't figure it out but didn't want to ask and look like a total dumb-ass. Is that right, though? Just looks and a place to put lights? Makes sense, I guess, I couldn't figure out what other good one might do. I put a full Westin brush guard on mine, I'm not a hard-core off-roader, but guess I like the rugged look and also find it comes in handy when driving on some of the overgrown logging roads that we have lots of around here.

I think not. I'm sure you'll have more damage in a low speed accident with just the bumper. If someone taps you in the parking lot. You'll get bumpers scars vs. the bull bar damaging the car that hits it in the mall.

Don't buy a Bull bar. It kills your approach angle and blocks your front tow point. They look good but thats about it.

I love the way it looks on the truck, but for the money spent I could have done something much better.

 

yep.....as i said before....its for looks and a place to mount lights.

but you can still use the tow hooks if you take off the skidplate on the bull bar( may not look as good then, but you could use the hooks)
