Thanks Tyler! I followed your thread as a guide. I also used the same Rust-oleum you used.

Picked up my BAMF sliders from ConWay on Friday night. I started on Saturday morning prepping them for paint. I used a variety of wire wheels, a palm sander with 150 grit and brillo pads.

I found the wire wheels work the best.

It took me about 4 hours total to get them ready. Once I was done, I wiped them down with some denatured alcohol.

I used some self etching primer on them next. This is what I used.

Using the February sun to speed up the process.

I used this for the top coat. I saw another member used it on his sliders and I like the results he had.

I used 5 cans in total. I probably went overboard with the final coat, but its only $6 a can.

I plan on installing them next weekend.

Oh. Yeah I learned my lesson with my soft topper frame.

I rushed through it and the final coat looked like shit. Luckily the canvas covers most of it

The sliders look great. Did you get out to the pines at all this weekend? It was gorgeous out there today. Saw a few tacos and a land cruiser at mile marker

It was a great weekend all around! I didn't get out though. I was going to take a cruise Saturday but I figured the dirt bikes would be heavy.

    How were the trails?

So $30 in spray paint and maybe 5 hours of labor? What does jerry charge for powdercoat?

I didn't even inquire about powdercoating. But I would assume the shipping would go up.
The shipping cost doubled and then some when I added the bolt on leg option. I couldn't imagine what the cost would be if I added PC.
