Reminds me of that awful red one with a SAS I posted about before.

    This.
Mine has 4.30's and I have DD'ed it for almost 4 years. Is it slow, yeah. But it can still get out of it's own way unless it's got a big load in the back.
It'll get 4.88's eventually, but so far I've been able to live with it.

    This sentence contradicts itself.

There's a SAS 1st gen on ebay right now. I didn't look at the pics at all, but I doubt it gets much worse if you're looking for a SAS 1st gen.

There is no point is building a subframe like that. The only reason a subframe would be neede is to get the drivetrain low enough so the driveshaft angles aren't too steep and to get the suspension link geometry correct but neither one should be necessary on a Tacoma like this. Look at JLee's truck with a properly built 4link and it didn't need a stupid subframe.

Sorry but the 4link brackets look so weak, not to mention they are total rock anchors, you'd get high-centered hung up and tear those things off in short order. It probably doesn't even have much rear travel, the rear coils are pretty short and unless they are floating coils with no retaining clips they aren't going to allow much droop.

This really is one of the dumbest "SAS/4link" builds I've ever seen. I feel frightened for whoever bought it.

Negative, Unless your geared 35's suck on a 4banger. Had them on my 22r and a 3rz 2.7, And I think the other 3 options have been proven. Use your search function, plenty of people wheel with those. Iv been on 31's for 100k miles. Depends on how you wheel. If all you do is wheel and no highway 35's might not be so bad. But if its your daily then yea no.......:D

If I built a 4link SAS It'd probably look like this

because I'd have no idea what the fuck I'm doing or how the fuck I'd do it

What are you guy talking about. This truck is a true rock crawler. That suspension is cutting edge. If I had the skills I would build my truck exactly the same way. :O

dont need to tell me to search.

It all depends on how little you care about on road ability. to which I dont care one bit. The 35s will be mostly trail tires, but thats so i can save them for when they count. 33x10s though does save on gas:rolleyes:
