I will probably be looking into swapping my extended length defined shackles for the stock length ones as well

his eccentrics in that pic werent tight yet.. just loose with the arms hanging. with them tight they will still move but with much more effort. Rubber you gotta think is a rubber band essentially. at ride height the rubber bushings shoul be relaxed... during droop the center of the bushing is staying still while the rubber is flexing and stretching allowing the arm to move. does this limit travel? not much imo. conversely when flexed upwards.

I see. So then what is stopping my lower control arms from dropping down that low when they are separated from the spindle? I was trying to get my ORI bolted back in yesterday and they hit a rock solid spot when you try to push them down.

yu have to align it anyways when u put ur ori's in reight? loosen the alignment bolts. it'll relax the bushings, the arm should move down easily... if ur lucky. my money is on atleast one of your bushings are siezed and the arm wont wanna move independently of the eccentric cam... ask Bob about that lol

Possibly... I'm going to find out in a few weeks when we tear the whole front end apart to do cam tab gussets, motor mount gussets, limit straps, spindle gussets and possibly some other stuff.

Is there a quick way to tell if my bushing are seized without tearing it all apart so I can order new parts now so I can replace it all when we have it apart? I had the truck aligned a couple months ago and they got it into spec without fucking up my cam tabs and didn't say anything about my cams being seized.

yeah loosen one alignment bolt at a time, not all the way just loosen it. spin the opposite side19mm see if it will spin the eccentric all the way around. if it does then its not siezed.... if it goes a little bit then feels springy back, its siezed. the more leverage u use the more possibility u have of bending the tabs. now if u do this u will need an alignment cuz itll ruin the current alignment.
if u do have a siezed eccentric, youll have to cut it out. maybe bob will take a pic of his to show u where i cut. its royal bitch. and now a days replacing the whole arm is often the easier way to do it rather than press new bushings in. again royal bitch to do so, ask me how i know:D youll damn near all the eccentrics if u end up cutting arms out.
why r u doing the cam gussets? why not just run a bead behing the factory ones like i did bobs? way easier....

    Thanks!

Can I mark my cams and after I test them spin them back to the marks?

And because I have bought the cam tab gussets before I ever thought to just run a bead behind them. haha Plus Konsta and I were talking about that and some of the tabs you could only bead like half of the tab. I'm going to be beating on my truck hard enough I may need all the reinforcement I can get anyway. I have an MT front trying to keep up with an LT rear now...

yeah u can mark them. it wont be precise but itll get you in the ball park til u get it aligned. the cam gussets fuckin blow to install... and i had no problem running a bead behind each and every tab the full length of the tab. bobs arent gonna fold:)

if u still wanna do the tc gussets tho, id suggest welding them together now nd grinding the back flat. then they are already ready to install when u actually do it. takes a while....

My alignment isn't perfect right now anyway because I have been changing my ride height around periodically. So as long as it is close it will be fine. When I tear everything apart in a couple weeks I am going to attempt to align it myself and try to get as much caster out of it as I can.

I might be able to swing access to an alignment machine. I have a couple of connections at the local dealership actually, but I do have access to Jason's write up as well as a lot of advice from Username via PM's so I am going to try their methods first.
