The hardest part is that its so random! I couldnt duplicate it with the mechanic!

Also, the dealer refered me to call Toyota Corporate to bring up the issue, the number that was given to me ends up disconnecting me in the end.

Where is that terminal located? can I find it easily without special tools? I think that I will have to solve this without special tools or the dealerships help.

No mention except for the Models with hydraulic assist during uphill assist.

    Also for Auto LSD.

I think he would mean the connectors at the wheels? Although that would throw a chassis code

Not sure I'm following you , but that would be interesting if they chose to disable a "safety" warning indicator

Just meaning that there is no beep for operation of VSC.

The abs module now uses the cluster / seat belt buzzer for LSD overheat or uphill start assist which was a feature in off roads with the hydraulic brakes (ATRAC, DAC)

When there was a mention of a terminal that was not connecting from the cold. I wasn't sure which terminal this was though

Go out on a slippery surface and pin your throttle to get some wheel slip , you get no beeping that accompanies the VSC light flashing ?

Just a square light that flashes. I'm in canada so I slip sideways a lot. You can hear the clicking of the abs but no beep like my old 2010 had

Ah ok. On my phone so I can't bring up details. Lol

I'm not sure when they ditched the buzzer. 2012? Personally I liked knowing when VSC was operating, now it kind of sneaks up on me and I don't realize till throttle is cut

But as far as the OP is concerned. I'm surprised toyota didn't find any freeze data for the flashing lights or the throttle cuts. Usually tech stream can pull info off when TRAC or VSC is activated.

It could be one of ANY terminal in the throttle system. However my thoughts would be any of the terminals on the connector for the TPS. (aka throttle body)

My 2012 does not beep when the VSC lights up. So I would say 2012 is when they ditched it.

I went on the mechanic test drive with them and he checked for codes that come up. Both on engine codes and on the way back he had it on vsc trac mode where he was monitoring the different wheel speeds sensors.

Thank you for your input bama! I'm just having a hard time grasping why the truck acted so sluggish out of the drive way... 20 degrees f isn't that cold for where I am in New York. Heck it didn't get above 20 here for all of January.

Just wanted to update you guys on the situation:

This morning I called Toyota Corporate and opened up a case and they want to keep my truck over night. They will be calling me in the next couple of days to set up an appointment with the dealer.
