Only had my truck for a few days really, and I've gotta bring 'er back to my local 'Yota dealership. Gonna nip the blower motor squeak in the bud and get it replaced. Noticed it my first day with the truck but I dismissed it as something that would probably go away. Out of curiosity I ended up searching it on here to see what I could see, and after reading up on it, I figure I may as well get a new one put in, and I can take care of it from here on.
Also having them take a peek at my tranny. Appears to not enjoy being shifted 1st to 2nd. Always grinds on me no matter what. Hopefully something simple. (Or maybe I'm really that bad at driving a manual? lol)
Gotta drop her off in the morning tomorrow, hopefully I get something interesting as a loaner. Last time I got a Camry...

Blower motor was annoying as hell when it acted up on my truck.

I'm stuck with a Prius loaner right now. I had a choice between that and a Corolla. Been driving that for over 2 weeks.

Jeez, I hope I don't end up in a Prius. I wish they used more interesting stuff for loaners. They're always autos too. :/

Last month I had a choice between a Toyota Corolla and a Kia Rio. It was only for a few days and I chose the Toyota. It's so hard going back to driving a car when you're use to driving a truck.

I got sick of the Prius and went in asked for a Tacoma. They were like 'no problem here you go.'

Guess I should've asked sooner but after I day in the Taco I had to give the loaner back.

When my Tacoma went in for the suspension TSB years ago, they gave me a brand spankin new DCLB TRD Sport. It was nicer than my truck!

I only had the SR5 also. I did like the seats a little better and the scoop just gave it infinitely more power and caused my penis to grow a good 3" as well.

I got to drive a Camry as a loaner. It was loaded and was so easy to drive it made driving boring. I got back in the truck and I thought there was something wrong with the steering and then I realized it was a truck and doesn't drive like a car.

I'm in a PriusB loaner right now. It blows. But, when I push the "Power" button, a blower pops out of the hood and it instantaneously transforms into a drag car. POS.

I loathe every moment I drive the Prius..

I hear that. They were originally gonna set me up with a Prius, but luckily I asked my buddy at the dealership to hook me up with something a little less hate-y.
Got me a RAV4, still pretty boring to drive but it had some fun gadgets.

In any case, I'm back in my truck. First time dealing with the service dept. and I am glad to report it was a really good experience, surprisingly.

Nice! That sounds like a good time. I drove the Camry they gave me last time a ton. Had a bunch of cool gadgets. I really hope that if I go back there they give me something really awesome like an FJ, or a new 4Runner...:D

There was a time when the dealer would give you a newer truck/car like what you were in, in a way a test drive maybe to get you to like it and move to a new one or step up in model.
When I had a Dodge the local dealer would service my V8 Dakota and give me a 1500, or 2500 to drive. In that case after a few years, had it in for service and they gave me a new 96 2500 4x4 Diesel, said give this a try.
I did and when I returned to pick up mine after a few days I ordered one with everything I wanted. They gave me a trade price on mine and said try to sell it if you can or bring it in when your comes in....

The good old days of a dealer being a dealer. Never needed to worry with getting a car when I had a truck and it needed service. I would still have a truck to drive.

I told Toyota my feelings on this. I told them to put me in some sort of Tundra Off-Road and to try and upsell me. They wouldn't do it.

It is kind of funny, I went to one dealer to test ride a taco, and he said he had to ride along in the front seat, wanted the wife to sit in the back.
Before she got in the back I said there is not real reason to test rind it as I had looked at other dealers, let me just think on this over night and left.

Was at another Taco that put the tags on the truck, gave me the keys, said they close at 9pm try to be back by then. They was at noon.

When I have got othe full size trucks, I was given the weekend and carried back Monday. Now all the Demos that they have are given to the staff as a perk and not used as they should be if you ask me...

This happened to me too.. lol. Truck was in the body shop for a total of 7 weeks and went through 3 different cars, first an elantra sedan, then mazda 3 and then vw jetta. Got back into my truck and i was like something is wrong with my truck.. it's handling like a tank. Since i've been back in it for a couple weeks now i've gotten used to it again :)
