    Would be nice for cars with aftermarket rims and low pro tires, less likely to scratch and wear on rims. I still would opt for studded snow tires myself on a backup set of rims.

    Yep. Personally if all I had to drive is a vehicle with low pro tires and there's enough snow for the need for chains, I'm probably staying home.
