what's the most you've spent on dinner

36 months in State correction facility for skipping on expensive dinner, with my first cousin Booger..everything wuz good until my Tacoma wouldn't start...
..still feelin' the pain from that one......

 

$400 for the wife and me at Emeril's in New Orleans. Of course the alcohol brought the price tag up. Wine, Cognac, Armagnac, single malt , a duck medley with foie gras, truffles, pate and soufflé for desert. Probably 3 hours total, and well worth it.

 

Sounds like money well spent.

 

Hmm, I think around 400 incl. tip, Delmonico's in Vegas. We've also been close to that a couple times in Whistler. Most, 25-40% of that expense for both places was probably alcohol.

900$ish with tip at Le Bouchon in Vegas with the wifey. The wifey and I anniversary. (I won it all at craps the next day.)

 

Spent around $400 USD 3 nights in a row (when converting from the Euro) at Waterford Castle, Ashford Castle, and Dromoland Castle in Ireland while on our honeymoon. Granted this included alcohol, and the meals were usually 6-7 courses around 3 hrs each. Totally worth it, I would do it again in a heartbeat. If you ever get a chance to eat at any of those castles DO IT. You will not regret it.

For me and the girlfriend, $60 bucks or so. I once spent around $45 for just myself at a steakhouse in Vegas (group pay-your-own-way situation).

We are currently eating a Vegan diet, so really hard to eat out anyway. Learning to cook at home more and more.

For me, I don't really see the value in high end restaurants as far as taste, it's more about having a good meal with good company without doing any work. I don't mind the work most of the time, and I am kind of anti social, so learning to be a better cook has been my priority, especially since the diet change.
