    Hey guys,
i was doing some mudding the other weekend and some how in the process broke the plastic holding mounts on the trailer eletrical plug off of the metal bracket.

Metal bracket is still in place and plug is all there and working, just dangling. I'm hoping i can just order a new plug and easily swamp them out and reconnect the new one to the metal mounting bracket.

Does anyone know if there is some kind of quick clip up under the bumper or something for the wires or will i need to actually cut and re-wire it?

I don't remember any quick clips under there. I busted my plug on a rock last year and bought another plug at Wal-Mart and put it in the bumper next to the license plate.

If I remember correctly, when I relocated my plug to the bumper there was a quick disconnect. While your replacing it relocate it, it's easy and doesn't take long.

Here is a pic I'm using when I do mine once winter is over. He didn't have to remove the bumper but just made sure the reverse side was clear of wires, etc.

He siliconed the plug into place without having to drill out the bumper for the 4 surrounding holes. Below is a "stock" tacoma harness plug for comparison:

Yeah the one from walmart I had to wire it in. It was easy though, it had good directions of what wire went were. My Toyota plug busted so that's the reason I got the wally world special plug. It had four holes to bolt it up to the bumper. I just used the cardboard that was in the package, marked the hole and plasma cut it out. I guess you could use a holesaw too.

my plug still seems to be ok, even though i rented a Uhaul trailer the other day for moving furnature and the light config was all screwed up...so i'm not sure if it was my plug, the 4-prong adapter, or there trailer. going to test on my smoker trailer to see.

I didnt see a quick disconnect though so i need to look again. haven't had alot of time to play with it
