FYI guys, Palmetto State is taking 10-15 business days to ship, so if nothing else, buying from OP will save you a couple of weeks in time waiting... GLWS

Then why in your ad on another forum do you say they are PTAC?

Where did he say they are PTAC? Here's the link to the forum that I found, all he said is that he paid $399 + $100 for BCG & CH... And here's a link to his 100% positive feedback on that site...

Not questioning ones character, hell he can ask whatever he wants, jus trying to help those who may be interested...plus when different sites get different answers to the same questions it seems fishy.

    I would wait 10 days for $100...

Lol you guys are getting all worked up. I'm not an AR professional so I had to call PSA to ask about the PTAC...still not sure what that acronym stands for. I forgot to update my pirate post.
THey're not "ptac" if that makes any difference.

PSA vs. PTAC does make a difference. PSA is the sole distributor of PTAC stuff but it is arguably lesser quality than their own PSA line. The PTAC stuff sells considerably cheaper than the PSA stuff also.

PTAC is garbage, you can see why if you search on ar15.com.

PSA uppers are good, I have one myself.

Ar15 is full of gun snobs, there was a batch that had issues. Psa replaced them without much hassle from what I understand. It groups tight at 50 yards with cheap ammo, no fte's or ftf's. There are plenty of positive reviews on them, of course I'm sure you are talking from the personal experience you've had with one, or are you just going off ar15.com

I can tell you I have a 2k dollar rock river in my trunk right this second and it can't group them much tighter. Certainly not worth a 1600 dollar difference.

Granted the ptac barrel isn't chrome lined so the longevity isn't there but let's be serious the vast majority of people I know don't go burn through 500-1000 rounds a week or even month.

PTAC is inferior in a lot of ways, they even say on the site is groups 4-6 moa, thats laughable. Its junk, if someone was going to buy ptac they should save up another 100-200 and get something thats not total crap. I dont have personal experience with them because Im not buying an upper that groups 4-6 moa. Thats not even taking into account the QC with ptac.

Sorry to derail your thread OP.
