    Is it the super white 040? And I went down to pep boys and got some touch up paint, the 040 code, wet sanded the areas real good, put on a couple of light coats and let it cure for a few days and the damn paint came out a totally different color. More like a cream yellowish white. It looks like crap but I'm getting the hood situation taken care of ASAP after I get my baja roof rack ordered and installed lol.

    Just because you got the right paint code doesn't mean the paint will match. Toyota has had the 040 for so long that there are several different shade variations of it. Only way to get a dead on match is have someone match it with a paint chip and shoot that color.

    Pity I don't have my clutch yet. Don't think that's something I'll be able to manage by myself since I don't have a transmission jack. This would be perfect for that. :D

    Only other maintenance items I have lined up is changing my plugs and wires and cleaning my MAF which will hopefully be done by Saturday.

    That said, if you guys need a ball joint press, I got one I'd be willing to loan ya.

    Thanks. ;) It'll depend on how I'm feeling that day if I'm up for it. Also, if my plugs are replaced or not. I'm hoping they will get here today, but who knows. I just got a fresh tank of gas the other day, so I don't want to burn too much of it on the old plugs. I wanna see if I get any MPG improvement with good plugs and cleaning the MAF sensor.

    This morning I mowed the grass and blew off the driveway. When I was putting the truck back under the carport, the exhaust was smelling disturbingly similar to that of the lawn mower. :eek: I think it's burning a little rich, but better rich than lean I guess. :cool:

    What I could use, if someone has one is a good torque wrench that reads 13ft/lbs. Mine only goes down to 30ft/lbs.

    Also, if you can't use a ball joint press, I also have a gear-puller type ball joint separator (have the pickle fork type too). Used it when I was doing my lift and it worked great.

    I have a pickle fork but don't want to destroy the boot, i know the bottom will unbolt from the spindle & kinda hoping tapping the top of the spindle will loosen the top ball joint. That worked on my daughter's boyfriends car.

AllenFab Custom Hybrid front bumper and recovery points. Drivetrain lifted 2" in conjunction with a 2" BL. Modified Trail Gear transmission crossmember/skid. Warn Xeon 10K winch. Large left side body mod.
    My puller will separate it without touching the boot. It hooks on the UCA and tightens down on the top of the threaded portion of the ball joint. If you wanna stop by some time this week after work, I'll be glad to loan it to you (in case I don't show up on Saturday). I live close to the I275 Busch blvd exit.
