Group buy: Pop N Lock Tailgate Lock (Ends April 08, 2009)

8 days! I just ordered one off of him, wonder how long it's going to take to get to Cali.

Group buy is not the problem here. Pop & Lock is the problem. They have been promising the PL5300 "next month" since October.

 

Dgerm I appreciate your effort on this group buy, but I would like to request a refund too.

 

Wow...people are backing out everyday.

Daniel, any chance of pushing for info on the 5300's?

 

Whats the update on the 8520? It sounds like they are shipping them or has already shipped them. Can you confirm?

no sweat, i dont blame you Thanks. IMO, you should be happy to see the locks by xmas. I believe a couple months ago you said it should be shipping by the end of the week and I posted we wouldn't see them for several months......just sayin

 

arent these locks readily available through our vendors?

 

I don't know that these are "readily" available. The only place I know that has the PL5300 in stock is the ebay vendor listed earlier in this thread. That is where I bought mine and I installed it yesterday.

Can you get me an update? I don’t mind waiting but I'd like to be kept updated. Honestly I'll hang in there with you but have you consider just scraping the GB and just refunding every body?

 

I know this group buy has been a drag on Dgerm but he has already received his lock and lost the desire to PUSH for faster delivery. Those of us still waiting wish there was daily contact with P&L to encourage them to fulfill our order faster. He also doesn't mind refunding orders because the shipped products already received the reduced pricing.

Daniel, is there any way I can contact P&L for you? I work in an office and have all day to do it. It's not the ideal situation but we have struggled to get responses from you for the past couple months.

I hope you don't take this personally...it's just an unfortunate situation all around. No one knew this GB would be such a pain in the arse back in April. I would like to try and help because I really need / want my lock - and I know others are in the same boat.

 

I don't forsee calling them helping... Vendors are being told end of Sept as well.. They are poor planners... its that simple...

 

Yes but vendors are receiving their shipments, we are not. I don't want the order to go out at the end of Sept and us to not be included again. They could keep putting us off until all vendors are satisfied and their is stock left over. Only then might they fulfill our order.

I didn't realize our order would be such a PITA when I got in on this. They accepted the pricing and direct sell and I thought it was all on the up and up. I'm pissed about false hopes and getting lumped into this.

 

Pop and lock are probably just filling vendor orders, Because they know the vendors are pissed because of this group buy.

 

I am still waiting on the 5300 like everyone else. I don't see what more there is to do in terms of contact. This was my latest email from her:

I am waiting on the order confirmation and charge to my credit card for the rest of the locks not including the 5300's.

 

Hey dgerm, did the 8520's ship? I remember reading that P&L was sending out 13 of those, which met our order. Thanks!
