Hey guys, I'm being a lazy punk and just asking: what is the duplicolor weapon of choice for sliders is their "bed coating" product or "bed liner" product? Last time I used the Rustoleum bed liner and I thought the consensus here was duplicolor had a more durable product. Thanks for no flames :)

    heh....Ruled.
Oh yeah?! Well my Girlfriend just dominated over 17000 miles in her Honda. Quelled two peasant rebellions, too.
She makes me want to rip my hair out, though. She's only changed the oil twice and she doesn't run synthetic, just Honda bulk oil. It's got one of those "oil life remaining" things, but I don't trust those any further than I can throw her car.

So my truck had a weird start up this morning. Normally when i turn the key the starter kicks right in and the engine turns over a couple times and then comes to life. This morning the starter kicked in and the engine came up really slow almost like if it was being cranked over by hand. It wasnt like it was super cold out either. So then after it came up to idle speed the dash lights kicked on and everything was normal. No check engine light or anything. Im thinking it could be either the battery about to die, the alternator about to die, or maybe i need a spark plug change. It has 83K on her so its probably time for plugs anyway. Whats your thoughts?

That sounds sort of kinky

I made a deal with my wife. I told her if she was going to get a nice, new car, she'd better take care of the f-in thing. She tells me when she's approaching service intervals and I have a week to get it done. If I can't get to it in a week, it goes to the stealership.
Sounds like mine did right before I replaced the battery.

Do you have a V6 or 4 banger? If you have a V6 and haven't changed your plugs, it's definitely time!

If it cranked weak the battery is to blame... But that is only the case so long as the alt is charging it properly. Judging by mileage I find it highly probable that battery is weak. Have you ever heard of rehabbing the battery?

Sounds like a battery. Plugs won't make it crank slowly.
But if you've got 83k on the original plugs it's definitely time to change them out.

Take it to a local Advanced Auto or Autozone, O'Reilly, etc. They can usually test the battery and the alternator right in the parking lot. It's not 100%, but it's a good starting point and it takes 5 minutes.

^^ its a v6 with original plugs and battery. Im gonna start with the plugs and test the battery and alternator with a multimeter. And no i havnt heard of rehabbing the battery. Whats that?

Rehabbing only applies if you let it sit for along time. Plugs need to be done. You could also have a bad ground or bad terminal connection.

She babies it otherwise. Washes and waxes it all the time (even during the winter on sunny days), vacuums it out weekly, cleans the dash every weekend. But I have to nag her about oil changes until she does them.

From what I've seen it's supposed to help remove the impurities from the acid (sulfide/sulphate compounds? Dunno) and rehab the plates. You hook up this electronic gizmo to the battery and let it cycle. It's some Mr Wizard science stuff.

Use the duplicolor bed liner in the blue can. Do not use the bed armor as that stuff just gets dirty and will not clean up.

Sounds like a high-tech wallet lightener.
The only way I've ever "rehabbed" a battery has been by replacing the acid.

I'm done with this stealership. Service guy says "yup, we'll get the chirp and seatbelt shit disabled", I'm all like "sweet". He says "I'll have him check the filter and let you know if its bad", I'm like "you guys are awesome". I get the truck back to the armory and the fucking door lock chirp still works... I pop open the air filter and it looks like this:
