Damn, I was hoping it would be better. I'll probably still try it if I ever get the chance though

It's a box to store shit where the spare tire use to be. Maybe notas thick as a tire, more low pprofile. Comes down the same way the spare would.

I like it. Seems more secure than in the bed storage because only you would know about it. But what happens to your spare? Bed mount?

Instead of a box y not a pot an lid type setup. Lid stays secure to the truck the spare tire cable goes through the lid and the pot and secures to the bottom of the pot. When u lower the cable you have a round open top storage container. When you raise it the container goes up meets the lid with some sort of gasket or weather stripping so you keep out dust and water. If you bang up the bottom it doesn't hurt anything and it will still work as before.

I say round because if it rotates while being raised it wouldn't matter it will still meet the lid perfectly. Square you would have to secure it and raise it at the same time.

In my opinion, if it's not easy to get too you'll never use it.

To me it's more for stuff I would only use if I had to. Like a shtf bag full of stuff I would almost never need but still need to have n don't want to take up cab space.

By the way, the gate opener power outlet will handle two 500w flood lights and my drill. The lights dim a little bit though. :)
