Received and installed LifetimeLED headlights. I took pictures of the install and will be doing a writeup.

I am following the Lifetime and LED conversion threads. Reviews keep going back and forth.

Ya I think so. I had HIDs in my car and run HIDs in my Jeep and even though they were bright as 3 suns, the flicker and rate they burned out was too much for me. They aren't for off road use, that's for sure. TruckLite makes LED conversions and one day I will do that for my Jeep when they come down in price. Wish they did someting for Tacomas.

I was thinking the lifetime led would bring down the projector prices

Here is life lesson from an ole fart who's been there, done that: ALWAYS, ALWAYS, did I say ALWAYS, remove the FILL bolt or plug FIRST to make absolutely sure you can get fluid back in it after you drain it. Input bolts have a way of rusting/corrosion welding shut. Just make sure you have a way of getting the fluid back in the device, BEFORE you drain it dry.

Ya, I had HIDs in my last truck and car but both had many issues. Bad ballasts, blown bulbs, error codes, flicker, etc. I have checked out the Trucklite stuff too but I am super cheap so I didn't want to spend that much. Either way, I am definitely looking forward to seeing how these are at night.

Ya the $500+ for headlights can wait lol The retro thing guys are doing looks feasible and has great light output, but I'm not sure I dig the look of them. Maybe it'll grow on me. My stock headlights have jacked up lenses anyway.
