    ABS Switch Icon Stage 3
So today when i was picking up my dry cleaning i had a kid ask me if my Access Cab was 4x4. I said yes, pointed to the mud flaps and asked him why. He mentioned he has been looking all over for a 4x4 Access Cab and never could find one anywhere.

I also had Jason at Demello Offroad tell me the same thing when i brought my truck in to have the Icon Stage 3 installed. When i dropped it off he came up to me and said "do you know how rare that truck is?" For the same reason, 4x4 Access Cabs are extremely hard to come by.

Question to the group - do you think the 4x4 Access Cab is the rarest of all Tacos?

There's one in my driveway. :)

Last week I was on the big island of Hawaii. No joke, I think every 10th vehicle I saw there was a tacoma, and almost ALL the 2nd gen models were double cabs. So yea, AC 4x4s were rare there.

Thats true. LOLOL not much AC here mostly DCSB. And Mall crawlers. I think 75% of toyota sales here are tacomas.

I definitely see a lot more doublecabs, but I have an access cab 4x4 and love it.

I think we see more doublecabs because thats what there is the most demand for though. Its not that access is rare, just not as wanted.

Oh, and I love my AC 4x4. Best of both worlds .. room for a fam and long bed, footprint of a DCSB.

There were a metric shit ton of 4x4 access cabs to filter through when looking for my double-cab in Salt Lake.

I would say the rarest 2nd gen Tacoma is probably the regular cab 4x4. They're not even available in Canada or I would have bought one!

4x4 TRD OR access cabs like mine are pretty common north of the border, but still not to the extent of double cabs which are everywhere. I probably see 10 double cabs for every access cab and have yet to see a regular cab in person.

I just bought a brand new one a couple weeks ago. There were two others sitting next to mine on the lot.

Most in my area are double cabs there are 2 very large dealerships that I pass by all the time and very rarely see AC cabs on the lot. I do see a lot driving around so it makes me think that as soon as one shows up at a dealership its not there long.
