I haven't heard anything negative about their products although I think it's overkill for a daily driver. For the price, I'd just stick with Mobil 1 or similar which will provide more than enough protection for moving parts.

For you 2012+ guys looking for fog lights, here's an interesting option:

Never used it in a car, but small engines it's the best of the best. Motul is excellent look into them, been using it in my truck.

For all you south east MA people, do you have a preferred tire shop? My wife's car will be needing tires in the next month or so and I'll be getting new ones in the summer. Thoughts and feelings about Town Fair? They get terrible online reviews but I wonder if that's because people let them get talked into buying crap?

There's a guy on ENH who lives just up the road and is a distributor. I was thinking about checking into what he can get for pricing at different sizes, for example a 55 gal drum of 5w30 would price out at ?/quart.

Town Fair varies by location, some are better than others. I don't have a problem with Town Fair but I would absolutely NOT just walk in and buy tires, their retail prices are absolutely ridiculous!! Any time I go to them, I do a lot of research online first, find the tire you want in the size you need and the lowest internet price you can find and bring it in to them. The good thing about them is the fact they price match and frankly, that's the only reason I go to them.

If you can get it at a good price, go for it. It's supposed to be great oil.

The Town Fair in my town use to tell me the tires I wanted on my car wouldn't fit (I had to show them they did), yet told me it was alright to use a 5x114.3 wheel on a 5x115 bolt pattern (it's been done plenty of times).

What's it on? Is that a Ducati wheel?
Because if it is...we're talking about totally different beasts, haha.
Only shot I have of it here at the office.

With Town Fair, you really have to know what you want. A lot of their staff seem to think they know everything and will give you a ton of shit if you want to do anything even remotely against what they're telling you (which most of the time is just crap anyways). One of their locations wouldn't sell me 265/70R17s because they were too tall for my Tacoma

Have you looked at Metzeler tires? I believe that's what my old man has run on all his cruisers and had great luck with them as far as grip and wear.

From the dealings that I've had with Town Fair (we're one of their suppliers) the staff at the counters definitely could use more training. It seems like a lot of them know just enough to convince them that they know everything there is to know about tires, but not enough to realize when they're up against a more informed consumer.

Kingston; which Town Fair location would you be considering a visit to?
