I have, but they're double the price of the Pirelli's, haha. My dad runs Metzeler's on his Honda Shadow and has had varied luck. The first set he got nearly 15k out of, but with the second set the rear is almost smoked with only 6k. And he's not happy about that. So I'm kind of shying away from the Metzy's.

FYI there's a set of anthracite FJ wheels on CL for $600 with worn tires if anyone feels like changing things up. I'd post a link but its a pain from my phone.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma

I'd love to but I'd just fuck them up when I go wheeling. It's actually kinda nice having a set of wheels that I don't give a shit about.

You could always put the Michelins on them so you have a nice set of summer wheels/tires :notsure:

Michelins are 17" and are going on my FJ powdercoated wheels. Those are 16" and I use the 1st gen wheels with the duratracs on them for that and don't care if they get messed up.

I'd stick with the 1st gen wheels . Sucks spending a bunch of money on wheels just to destroy them in the woods.

I didn't realize those FJ wheels were 16's, I thought they were 17's. My bad.

I never messed up my 18's wheeling. Five years of NE weather ruined a little of the finish though.

That's what I loved about the Cragars I had on my Xtracab. Steel wheels without a real lip so I could trash them and it wouldn't matter.

I'd cry if I scratched a TRD beadlock.

I sent hom a mess. We will see how attached he is to his price. There are several threads about those wheels brand new for 140-150 one said free shipping.

Ah, ok. Didn't realize they were that cheap. Thought the anthracite was still unobtanium.

Are they actually selling that high or just listed? I'd be tempted to buy to resell and net some profit out of the deal.

Guilt free way to spend more money on the truck.
