I'm thinking either Dakar or Expo. I don't think I need two overload leafs in the Dakar so I would prob take one out. Did you leave both overload leafs in? I have Icons and love them. I'm looking at 12" shocks for the rear now to allow for more travel.

MJ, how much weight do you carry in the bed? I hear you have the Expos and I just wanted some info on them...I only have about 100lbs when I wheel so I'm not even sure I would want the expos.

Hey guys lets add another former taco owner for hollister on the 15th! One of my good friends is moving down here to Modesto from socal! He is building a prerunner also like me. His mods are bilsteins all around and has fiberwerx 6.5 inch fenders for the front and rear. Also has 33s on 17 inch pro comp rims so stoked he is moving back by the way !!!:D:cool::):p

Not that much. I have the AP rear bumper, hi-lift, and full size spare in the bed. I got the expos because I tow my travel trailer a bunch in the summer. When there's no weight back there, it's pretty rough and bouncy. But when there's weight back there, it feels amazing.

I'm going with a bed rack and RTT that I'll have full time though, so it'll feel pretty good with that on. If we all end up wheeling, you're more than welcome to drive me truck around speed bumps and all and you can see what it's like.

Oh and for anyone thinking b/t Dakars and Expos, they're both really good springs. I don't really know if there's a difference in performance, but I know expos don't squeek like the Dakars do :D

It's funny, all of the armor, bigger tires, etc, were all added over time, so there wasn't one specific time where I was like, "wow I lost a lot of power." It kinda just got to where it was gradually. But then after all that, and having all of the extra weight for so long, I upgraded the gears and was like, "whoa this is what it was like! I remember now"

I drive like a grandpa...a very slow grandpa so I don't mind the loss of power so much with stock gears :D

trust me, I drive like a grandMA. but even building up to 65 mph on the freeway is such a big difference. And overall street and freeway driving, my mpg has increased 1-2mpg. But damn, my speedometer is way off now lol
